we visited with sarah beth last night for awhile.
she had been having a pretty good day. she is weak
and tired, but is working really hard to do the
things she needs to do to regain some strength and
get herself out of the hospital. physical therapy
is working with her and gave her a list of things
to accomplish. so she has some goals and is
working toward them. but it isn't easy. we had a
very good visit - just good to lay eyes on her for
ourselves and see how she is. especially wonderful
to see her smile. carolers from a local church
came into her room and sang for her. sarah beth,
of course, sang along. well, actually all of us
did. nice to have a little Christmas in there!
she wants you to know that she's had a hard day
today. a good bit of nausea and pain -
they're working to keep her pain under control.
please continue in prayer for her - for her
physical needs, for her recovery, for her healing,
for her emotional needs...we are so grateful for
every word you speak to the Lord on her behalf.

Sarah is doing as well as expected. She is progressing slowly. We have had a good day today. Sat up in a chair a couple of times to eat lunch and dinner. She still continues to try to get her pain and nausea under control. Thank you for your continued prayers for healing and strength.

just got a text from kathleen with an update from
sarah beth to share with you all.
"sarah has been battling with pain control today.
she has been up on the side of the bed and eating
small amounts of food today. she loves you and
thanks you for your continued prayers. she did get
moved from intermediate care to the oncology
floor."

know what? sarah's uncle greg and i were talking
today about this and just continue to be amazed at
how God works in her life and in her body, using
her for His glory. she is just a miracle over and
over, time and time again.

sarah beth's surgery is over! she did well and the procedure went as expected. her surgeon said he got all of the tumor he could see. she is off the ventilator and working on waking up. going to intermediate care for tonight. the Lord continues to strengthen and sustain her. thanks SO much for your prayers. please continue. =)
